Ohai back to my usual Japan post, I always thought of combine all Day 1 photo in just 1 post but I can't decide on which photo I should choose. Plus for my first 2 days travel to Japan I visited 3 places in 1 day, so I decided to separate my post to few separate post. Hope you guys not feeling bored reading my Japan trip post. Because each post, I took quite a lot of photos when I visit to different place at Tokyo. The view is really pretty just the sky are mostly gloomy all the while.

The 2nd place I visit during my Day 1 trip is to Sensoji Temple. Since the place has the same train line as Ueno Park, so from Ueno Station - Ginza Line I took the train to Asakusa Station.

Map of Asakusa.

After we go up to the station, we continue to walk straight. We saw this big entrance and the lantern write the word  雷门, meaning Thunder Gate. The Kaminarimon (雷門, "Thunder Gate") is the outer of two large entrance gates that ultimately leads to the Sensō-ji in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan

Crowds are crazy as usual, don't ask me is it because of Weekends? No, I visit this place during Wednesday around 4-5pm. I have done some research that they mention the best time to visit all Japan Tourist place is during dawn 5 - 6am where you can take solo photo here. Yeah I mean if you are keen, so why not?

They have crafted 2 dragon below the bottom of the lantern on the Kaminarimon.

After you pass by the Kaminarimon, you will see more crowds and there are 2 rows of shopping street - Nakamise open along the pathway to Sensoji Temple. You can even saw kimono rental around this area too, but for me I feel it was not worth as the crowds are crazy here, not easy to actually wear kimono and taking photo around Sensoji Temple.

They sell mostly Japan Traditional hand craft item here which I feel that it was rather expensive for me. I thought maybe I can get some souvenir from here but I feel that it not worth the price although the item here are quite exquisite in terms of design and art work. You can buy yourself yukata and kimono as well.

Beside store around, they have few food stall as well, I always find that Japanese really like to eat Tamagoyaki. Tamagoyaki is a type of Japanese omelette, which is made by rolling together several layers of cooked egg. These usually are prepared in a rectangular omelette pan called a makiyakinabe.

I got my Dorayaki with Read Beans and Corn filling, 210 Yen each. Next I will spam photos of sakura and Sensoji Temple. No blue sky, cloudy weathers, sakuras and old temple.

Sakura flowers compliment all the old temple here.

[About]

Sensoji (浅草寺, Sensōji, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple) is a Buddhist temple located in Asakusa. It is one of Tokyo's most colorful and popular temples.

The legend says that in the year 628, two brothers fished a statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, out of the Sumida River, and even though they put the statue back into the river, it always returned to them. Consequently, Sensoji was built nearby for the goddess of Kannon. The temple was completed in 645, making it Tokyo's oldest temple.

Super Awe and love the view of this tall temple with the sunset sunlight. Since we are both Christian we actually just mingle around and visit all the traditional temple has in this area. Although Sensoji Temple is the oldest temple in Tokyo, but for me the temple has the most traditional design and it looks really pretty and well taken care as well.

Fashionable Japanese Girls.

Sakura Trees.

The inner part of the temple, which are much less people and I see some kimono lady take photos under the sunset. Kimono and Temple always compliment each other, the most genuine and traditional part of Japan.

The pond is super clean and clear with colorful Koi fish.

Above you can enjoy full view of Sakura flowers as well.

Japanese school girl.

When we continue explore and we saw this cute monkey having street performance at Asakusa Shrine which actually make all of us can't stop looking at his performance.

Pictorial of the map of Sensoji Temple area.

Here we end our visit to Sensoji Temple. Next is our last destination of our Day 1 Tokyo Trip. We visit the Asasuka Sky Tree which we enjoy amazing Night View of Tokyo. Stay tune for my blog, I am actually missing Japan so much right now when I was editing and blogging about the trip. I am glad I take alot of pictures during my trip. I am a really forgetful girl but seeing all the picture I took during this trip actually makes me wanted to visit all these places again and again.

Next Asasuka Sky Tree.
