Happy weekend to my fellow friends! Finally I have sort out all the beautiful cherry blossom photos that I have took during my Japan Trip. I hope that I can manage to keep track my trip memory and able to share all my wonderful memory I have spend in my Tokyo Trip. If you wish to read more about my Tokyo Trip post you can click here.
Please be prepare as this post will all be all the pink Cherry Blossom flower photos, if you have read my previous post about my experience travel to Japan during Cherry Blossom, you will know what problem I face after I book my flight to Tokyo for Cherry Blossom. Once again, The Cherry Blossom Season is super short period, meaning the life span of the flower last around 1 - 2 weeks. Basically I could say its depends on your luck to able see Cherry Blossom to reach full bloom. Best to do is compare past year Cherry Blossom Period in Tokyo, follow more official Japan guide website and do more research!
I follow one of the Japan Official website that they compile all the best spot for Cherry Blossom viewing in their website. I basically went to their Top 3 Cherry Blossom Spot when I was in Tokyo. Of cause I would say, there are more spot to enjoy Cherry Blossom. In this post I will blog about the TOP 3 is the BEST CHERRY BLOSSOM SPOT in Tokyo.
Ueno Park
Our first day we visit Ueno Park for Cherry Blossom viewing. The first thing we were surprised is the crowd that came for Hanami. Almost crowded and even Japanese is really excited with Cherry Blossom as well.
[About]
One of Japan's most crowded, noisy and popular spots for cherry blossom parties, Ueno Park features more than 1000 trees along the street leading towards the National Museum and around Shinobazu Pond. Ueno Park's blossoms typically open 1-3 days ahead of the blossoms in other spots in the city.
We saw the most Pinkish Cherry Blossom Tree when we are at Ueno Park. Everyone can't stop taking photos of the beautiful cherry blossom. Why is it feeling so dreamy each time I saw the photos of al these Cherry Blossom.
Crowds in Ueno Park. The whole walking path is just pack with crowds and you can't even take a solo photo with all the crowds around. It was surprised that even Japanese are excited with Cherry Blossom. In Ueno Park, there are few sitting spots to rent to let the crowds enjoying Cherry Blossom and they love drinking beer under the trees too.
Moving away from the main park itself, we continue to explore and Ueno Park is super huge and we have walk a lot during our first day travel at Tokyo already.
I love how Cherry Blossom Flower compliment with the River. Looks super pretty and dreamy that I wish I can stay here forever. The crowds is less crowded here and I love how the tree separate with each other it gives the harmony way of each cherry blossom tree.
The map area of Ueno Park. You can see the pink color represent the Cherry Blossom Spot at Ueno Park.
How To Go
A few steps from Ueno Station, admission free.
Chidorigafuchi Ryokudo
Ueno Park and Chidorigafuchi Ryokudo is the Top 2 & 3 Best Cherry Blossom Spot in Tokyo. We spend our Day 4 morning to this beautiful place.
[About]
Hundreds of cherry trees decorate the moats of former Edo Castle around Kitanomaru Park, creating one of Tokyo's most outstanding cherry blossom sights. Boats are available for rent, but picnics are not allowed. Trees are lit up in the evenings. Many food stands can be found at nearby Yasukuni Shrine, where another thousand cherry trees are planted.
Some of the Cherry Blossom tree in Tokyo is still not yet reach full bloom.
One of the reason Chidorigafuchi be the Top Cherry Blossom is because of the river view and cherry blossom view. Seems like a perfect combination and place to enjoy hanami.
Gosh the crowds are way so crazy than Ueno Park. In the side way you saw the officer is control the human traffic and even separate the walk way to 2 different direction walkway.
We been inform that they have some incident happened the day before at BEST Photo Spot at Chidorigafuchi. Hence we couldn't even stand near the place and we been block by guard and cones too. View from a far.
The Hanami spots at Chidorigafuchi.
Seriously my boyfriend love this spot alot! He say seeing the river and cherry blossom feel so much peaceful and lovely with them together. So do me, I feel that river and cherry blossom is the best combination I ever see. I wish I could join the boat in the river to have more closer with the cherry blossom along the river. But the crowds and queue there was quite crazy, I don't know when my turn to be on the boat.
After we walk finish along the river, we visit some of the place as well.
The view from looks amazing too! Super good place for romantic date with your love one.
Me and the view.
How To Go
Kudanshita Station, admission free
Shinjuku Gyoen
Map at Shinjuku Gyoen.
[About]
Shinjuku Gyoen features more than one thousand cherry trees of over a dozen varieties, including numerous early and late blooming trees. There are spacious lawn areas, and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful. Thanks to the early and late blooming trees, Shinjuku Gyoen is a good hanami destination for those who miss the main season by a week or two. Alcoholic drinks are prohibited.
This is the TOP 1 Cherry Blossom Spot in Tokyo. I guess it been the top 1 because you can enjoy cherry blossom with quite lesser crowd her at Shinjuku Gyoen. I didn't explore much here, because we visit here during the last day of our trip. My boyfriend get sick and we plan to leave early to airport as well.
We plan to visit here the day before but too bad we miss checking their opening time. And when we visit there, it was closing time already. So please take note and visit this National Park before their closing time.
We can see some of the petals of the cherry blossom start to fall. The reflection and the petals of cherry blossom.
From far it looks like snow for me. Super pretty and dreamy!
I am quite happy since I still manage to have a glimpse of this dreamy and princesses flower before I end my trip at Tokyo. Since this National Park is less crowded it is because it was admission free and it has been well taken care of as well. You can still see many beautiful trees and plants at Shinjuku Gyoen National Park.
How to Go
10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station
200 yen from 9:00am to 4:30pm
Overall I am still missing the cherry blossom moment I been visited too. The super dreamy and romantic flower I ever seen. I will definitely miss all this moment so much and I hope I can be back here soon over and over again.
Although the weather in Tokyo doesn't seem like really good, yes because the temperature was from 15 to 20 degree Celsius. The only 2 days which give us a better weather is during the Day 1 and Day 2 of our trip. The other day was more to gloomy or rainy day. One of the thing I didn't see is the view of Mt Fuji due to weather as well. Japan is still far more to explore and I wish to be here again.
