Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing to all of you! It's been the truly blessed year of 2016 and look how fast time flies too. We are less than 1 week till 2017. Hope to clear all my pending post before 2016 ended. Something big is going to happen in 2017 too, hope you can continue to follow my journey to 2017 also too.

Back to this short update of my first baking trial together with fellow Butterflies at 19 Culinary Studio! I never bake anything before in my life so been able to join this Christmas Cupcake workshop was really excited too. Hope on to this time travel journey back to my first time baking journey with fellow butterflies at At 19 Culinary Studio.

Today baking workshop is guided by Suraiya and her team. At 19 Culinary Studio, they offer a lot of baking classes, desserts making too. I will leave their facebook details at the end of my post.

Ingredients were all prepared by them and we are gonna bake Red Velvet Cupcakes today!!

We separated into few teams and we have around 9 to 10 people in one team. This will help to speed up the baking process since we are starting late. And it was a good bonding time together too as we work in a team.

Not forget to take the photo for our blog during the baking process.

Suriya is so patient and guides us throughout the session.

We have a total of 3 teams and each team is assign to one blender.

With a paddle attachment, cream butter and shortening on high speed until smooth. Add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

The texture after added eggs! So smooth and creamy!

Nex up, you may stir milk and vanilla into cocoa mixture.

In another bowl, sift together flour and salt. With a mixer on low, add flour mixture alternating with cocoa mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat until incorporated.

In a small bowl, mix together vinegar and baking soda until baking soda dissolves; mixture will fizz. Add to batter and mix until just combined.

Spoon batter into cases until 3/4 full. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely on wire racks.

Time to spoon your batter into the paper cupcake cases.

After all the paper cases were filled with the batter.

Time to scout them into the oven for 20 minutes.

While we waiting for the cupcakes, is time to do their cream cheese frosting. One of Suraiya's team helps us to do the cream cheese frosting. While we are busy DIY our cupcakes icing decorations!

1. With a paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
2. Add in sifted icing sugar gradually, then the vanilla essence and lemon juice. Beat until well incorporated.
3. Cover with damp cloth until ready to use.

On the way through...

With the color icing and shape mold, we are good to go!

Definitely not the most talented people on doing all these icing decorations. By the way, this is all done by the talented hand from 19th Culinary Studio.

Our Cream Cheese Frosting is up! Looks super cute and tempting enough to just eat it.

My own DIY icing cupcake decoration. Definitely not the best but already trying my best to do it. I got Christmas tree, mistletoe leaves, and snowman too!

All the other cupcakes deco by talented Butterflies.

Thanks Mamasan again gathering us and giving me this chance to try out my first baking class together with all the butterflies!!

Not forget to take our group photos on that day!!
