3 days 2 nights Ipoh Short Trip

Finally wanted to blog about the short 3 days 2 nights of Ipoh trip last Christmas. It's been a while since I travel to Ipoh, and I wanted to go back there. I also miss short trips nowadays due to being really busy at work and feeling quite demotivated. But yay I will be going on a vacation soon in august. Hope that I can get some good rest and enjoy my trip.

During my trip to Ipoh, I didn't share much about the hotel I stay in due to I feel that the hotel is not the best hotel to stay in Ipoh. This hotel is pretty new, the room is small but just nice for 2 people to rest and stay in.

This is the other side of the room where it has a tv on the wall. The room does not have the best soundproofing in the hotel room.

The hotel lobby. The room package that we choose does not include any breakfast. So I am not sure whether the breakfast tastes nice or not.

For our day 1 cafe hopping, we went to this Fujiwara Tofu shop at Ipoh. Where here is decorated with the Initial D concept, and you can find the famous car that Jay Chou drive in front of the cafe too.

I didn't really have high expectations about the food they serve in the cafe. But surprisingly it doesn't taste too bad, the tofu fa they have is really refreshing and nice to eat. We also order some main meals because we didn't have any proper lunch when we drive from KL to Ipoh at that time.

The cafe is actually bigger than I expected. But the other side of the cafe is not open for guests. We noticed that inside also has a lot more Initial D merchandise on the other side of the cafe. More ootd shots here.

Next, we went to another cafe that we found nearby where we continue to just eat and enjoy cafe hopping. We are here at Tido Fish, where they sell laksa and some desserts. We don't quite enjoy the food, but we still finish it.

One thing that is very cool with this cafe is the interior is designed with all LED lighting.

The interior of the cafe is very cool and I really like the drawing in the interior of the cafe that when the LED light is on, can see all the colorful drawings in the cafe.

There's also a school bus outside the cafe with LED light, took some photos outside here as well.

TidoFish

After the cafe, I saw this night market when we go back to our hotel. We decided to stop by and walk around the night market as well.

When we were there, we saw this area where they rent those kids' play cars and motor, we also decided to rent and play too. Since I had never driven a real vehicle before, we have a really fun play drive with this cute kids' play car and motor.

On our day 2 Ipoh trip, we definitely need to come to Thean Chun Coffee Shop. We order the famous signature caramel pudding and this soup hor fun definitely is some of my favorite dishes to order. We add on some satay and chee cheong fun. The way they grill pork liver also tastes very delicious until we order a second time of their grill pork liver.

We also walk around the famous Ipoh Concubine Lane.

When I first saw the queue, I thought this is for which cafe. Later after only I know, this is the next cafe that I want to go to, which is Platf9rm Coffee & Brew cafe. The cafe decoration is inspired by Harry Potter theme.

Here are the famous Butterbeer drinks.

Definitely can't miss out to rent the robe to be like a Hogwarts student. Too bad the Griffyndor robe that I want, is no longer able to rent due to high demand. But it doesn't stop me to become a Hogwarts student when I'm in the cafe.

After the cafe, we visit this new place Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village is a place with a lot of trees, mountains, and a big lake that has really nice greenery and view.

When I first see this view, I thought that I'm in where it is like 世外桃源, I really like the scenery and the air around the mountain area.

They also have a lot of old vintage decor around this place. A lot of people will rent bicycles or tricycles to ride around this area. They even have this old jukebox that will play music when we input syiling.

I really don't know how to describe this place because this place is really pretty, everyone here can just chill and relax in this pretty place.

Also when we walk until one round the end of the place, we found out that they have a slope with all the nice old decors. When we also decide to walk up the hill slope, we can feel the air around us feeling quite cooling too.

Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village

On our day 2 dinner, we went to this famous Restaurant Tuck Kee at Ipoh. We order some of their famous dishes, such as baby octopus, moonlight fried koay teow and other dishes too. I definitely miss their food now when I'm writing this post. All of their foods are really delicious and yummy too.

Lastly, we manage to find a shop to massage, and here's the end of our day 2 Ipoh trip.

On the last day of our Ipoh trip, after having dim sum at Restoran Chooi Yue Dim Sum Ipoh we visit some nearby Birch Memorial Clock Tower at Ipoh. When we are here, I notice that around here also got a lot of old Ipoh buildings. But we don't have enough time to explore much. More outfit photos here.

The opposite building looks very nice too but too bad we don't have time to go explore further.

Before we headed back, we buy some food back to KL as well. We also waited for the famous Kaya Puff to be ready as well when we were at Sin Eng Heong. Not forget to take away the Funny Mountain Soya drink as well.

Hope you like this post about my 3 days 2 nights short Ipoh trip. I definitely miss all the good food I have tried at Ipoh. Definitely will come back again for a food trip!
