Kuantan 3 Days 2 Night - Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Trip

Last year I traveled locally to a few places, one of the places that I miss a lot is Kuantan! Why? It is because it has a beach and seaside that I love the most, the beach there is clean and it feels so good when you stay near the beach. We can always visit the beach when you feel stressed or need a breather and when I am retired I will want to move here. 👀 To that extreme that is how I show my love for Kuantan. I recommend it to those needing a breather or a getaway from the city!

The hotel we chose to stay in Kuantan is Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort. Actually, I'm not a person who always wanted to stay in a nice hotel but then I think that as I grow older I would really prefer a comfortable place to stay. Plus this hotel is near to the beach which is also one of the reasons I chose here!

Our bedroom and balcony view. We chose Garden View which is the cheapest room stay in this hotel. Other options face the sea view or you can even walk out to the beach straight from the room.

I love my room either way, when we open the balcony door we can also hear the sound of the waves.

The hotel breakfast area looks really great too! You can enjoy breakfast and hear beach waves as well.

Day 2 morning try to watch sunrise but the sky is so gloomy!

The sand here is quite clean, we didn't manage to go near the beach because super sunny! For me even though we didn't play near the sea, I just like to be in the presence of the beach, sea, waves, and sun 😆

Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort

After showing you guys the hotel we stay at Kuantan, next is where I share my itinerary when I'm in Kuantan. When we reached Kuantan, we went to 1940 Kopitiam for lunch.

Food and Drinks we order. They are famous for their nasi lemak! The sambal is not too spicy, savory, and sweet. I especially like the egg and the crunchies anchovies that they deep fries.

After lunch, we checked in to the hotel and took a rest. Later we went to this nearby Teluk Cempedak Starbucks to take some photos. The crowds that day is really a lot and definitely not easy to take photos without people.

Later we went to Loteng, another cafe beside Starbucks where they have seating beside a big glass window. You can take photos with the beach and sea as background.

Loteng cafe is also quite famous, they have another floor that has outdoor seating but guests can also take photos of the seaside as a background. We didn't go up but I managed to go up and have a peak.

Teluk Cempedak

Later after hanging out in the cafe near Teluk Cempedak beach, we went to have dinner at Alor Akar Seafood Restaurant which they are famous for the "beggar' chicken.

Turns out the chicken actually is just herbal chicken, I think the tofu and vege are nicer than the chicken. Overall the food tastes okay but most importantly it is really cheap! I think we paid less than RM70 for the meal that we ordered that day.

We didn’t have breakfast the next morning at the hotel. We just wake up naturally without any alarm. We went to Jin Recipe for brunch. Since it’s lunchtime, there’s a queue to line up for our turn. They only accept orders outside their counter. 

Surprisingly when their noodle soup looks as normal as it seems. But the taste is quite good! I ordered the normal soup but in Mee Hoon Kue style. The specialty of this shop pan Mee is where you can add vinegar and the noodle soup itself is so appetizing and delicious 🤤 

Jin's Recipe Cafe

After lunch, we decide to go to Puteh Beach Bar to enjoy the breeze of the sea. This view is too pretty! White sand, with blue sea and blue sky.

We spend like 2-3 hours here because it feels so nice and peaceful chilling beside the seaside. To be honest I never thought I could be feeling so calm hearing the waves and enjoying the sea breeze. Not only that we also took a lot of photos here because really enjoy the vibes here.

We ordered drinks and chilled up here for a few hours. This Puteh Beach Bar is inside a hotel and it is just right beside a beach as well.

Next, we move to our next destination which is Batu Hitam Beach, which they are known for the black stones in this area. When we are here since the sea is 退潮 and we can see all the black stones here. Just need to be careful when walking to the stones.

We did take some photos of the beach. You can also ride a horse along the beach. It feels quite nice to see some natural of how there the black stones in this part of the beach.

Pantai Batu Hitam

Dinner time! I think day two is pretty chill, we spend most of the time at the beach. Feeling calm and good about the weather. We had Chinese dishes again in Kuantan at Restaurant Yat Yat Loi for dinner. 

The dish is good and not too bad. We ordered deer meat as well, but the black pepper covered the taste of the meat. The ingredients they use to prepare the meal are very fresh. I also noticed that the food in Kuantan is quite cheap and still tastes great in general.

On the last day of our trip here in Kuantan, I went back to Teluk Cempedak Starbucks because I realized I didn’t go into Starbucks and take photos. Lucky us when we went there in the morning time, there weren’t many people inside the cafe and we could take photos freely.

I highly recommend that those who come Kuantan to also visit this Starbucks. Find this corner on the second floor of the Starbucks cafe, and took photos with the beach blue sky as a background photo. We didn’t buy any drinks that time but we were here for 打卡 to take photos.

Later we went to a cafe at Kuantan Town for brunch, Ms Elliot at Hock Bee. This is a random cafe that I found from xhs. I’m also curious about what exactly the cafe looks like, it is actually inside an old office and they renovated it into a cafe!

The cafe interior which still remains the office interior building, is really fascinating. 

The food and drinks we order in the cafe. The Daging Salai Carbonara Spaghetti is one of their signature dishes to order. This cafe serves Fusion Cuisine which you can get to enjoy some really unique dishes at this cafe.

Some of the photos we took inside the cafe. I really like all the old office decor that still remains inside the cafe. While we are here is around October, hence they have some Halloween decor around the cafe which is quite fun!

After lunch and hanging out in the cafe, we went to Kula Cakes to enjoy some cake. Since it's my husband's birthday as well, definitely need to have some cake for his birthday. This is one of the famous cake shops at Kuantan. It makes me really curious if their cake really tastes so good.

We ordered their famous Mango Cheesecake and Strawberry Pavlova cake. Both the cakes taste really good, it is not too sweet and the pavlova comes with a really nice texture.

After desserts, we continue our last destination of our Kuantan trip - Menara Kuantan 188. This is a new attraction here in Kuantan. It is a tower that is the highest at Kuantan, guest can go up to the tower, to enjoy the Kuantan view or even try some challenging activities walking around the tower.

We did buy the ticket to go up the tower since we were here. We really enjoy the scenery when we are up here. The wind was so windy that we just stayed here to chill and enjoy the whole Kuantan view from the peak of the tower.

Lastly, I feel really rested and blessed with good weather for the 3 days here in Kuantan. This is my first time visiting Kuantan and I fell in love with the weather, the sea, and how chill the whole town is. Hopefully, I can be back here again!
